York Center School and Stevenson School are proud to share a partnership as sister schools. Stevenson serves students in Early Childhood through second grade. York Center serves third through fifth grades.

The educators at Stevenson and York Center provide an exceptional learning environment that fosters lifelong learning habits, ensuring students are responsible, resilient, and ready to excel. Our staff is highly qualified and works collaboratively to provide a unique educational program tailored to our diverse student population, ensuring high levels of learning for all. York Center has an enrollment of approximately 180-200 students, while Stevenson has an enrollment of approximately 160-180 students. A variety of programs and services are offered to our students to enrich their educational experiences:

  • Band and Orchestra Lessons
  • Choir Programming
  • Various Clubs (e.g. Conservation Club, Student Council, Student Union)
  • Additional reading services
  • Hands-on Science Classes through Elmhurst College
  • Breakfast program
  • Lunch program
  • Transitional Bilingual Education (TBE) Program
  • 1:1 Chromebook use and integration

The enthusiasm for learning observed year after year at York Center and Stevenson never ceases to amaze us. It is a tremendous honor to work with such a dedicated group of teachers, parents, and students.
