York Center School and Stevenson School are proud to share a partnership as sister schools. Stevenson serves students in Early Childhood through second grade. York Center serves third through fifth grades.

The educators at Stevenson and York Center provide an exceptional learning environment focusing on life-long learning habits to ensure the students become successful, independent learners. Our goal for students is to develop a passion for learning that prepares them to successfully navigate a dynamic world.   Our staff is highly qualified and works collaboratively to provide a unique educational program for our diverse student population and ensure high levels of learning for all. York Center School has an enrollment of approximately 180-200 students, while Stevenson School has an enrollment of approximately 160-180 students. A variety of programs and services are offered to our students to enrich their educational experiences:

  • Band and Orchestra Lessons
  • Choir Programming
  • Various Clubs (e.g. Conservation Club, Student Council, Student Union)
  • Additional reading services
  • Hands-on Science Classes through Elmhurst College
  • Breakfast program
  • Lunch program
  • Transitional Bilingual Education (TBE) Program
  • 1:1 Chromebook use and integration

The enthusiasm for learning observed year after year at York Center and Stevenson never ceases to amaze us. It is a tremendous honor to work with such a dedicated group of teachers, parents, and students.

Please contact us if you ever have a concern or question.
